The Left has never had more power in this country, and yet they've rarely been this panicked. Unable to deal with intellectual opposition, they've fallen back on their old standards: accusations of racism and homophobia.
The "Tea Party" movement is not what the Democrats are trying to paint it as, and the Democrats know that their feeble smears are transparent as hell. The grassroots - the real ones - are scaring the crap out of them. Dissent was patriotic when they did it, now you actually hear the word "sedition."
