How's that going so far?

Which way is the projected deficit going over the next fifteen years? Spending levels? Are taxes going down, or up? How's the unemployment rate compared to the predictions of those who sold us the "stimulus" bill? How about the foreclosure rates?

What the Republicans did was try and stop Obama and the Democrats from doing some very stupid things economically. The "Party of No" was trying to keep someone from fixing a leaking boat by drilling holes in the bottom "to let the water out." When someone is proposing something stupid, "no" is the right thing to say. Unfortunately, in most cases there weren't enough Republicans in office to make it stick.
