Re: "Them" and "us"

Yeah, a typo-riddled "Counterpunch" article about sex scandals and "neofascists" is going to tell me how it is. Those people are so damn deranged they don't even have a solid grip on Leftism.

^Deep down inside, you can sense in your bones that something is amiss. It's long been coming across to you that someone's been lying to you, that you haven't been told the whole story, that someone made a bunch of promises to you that they had no intention of keeping. So you feel the need to blame it on someone, anyone else, because you can't admit to yourself you never saw it coming, that you've been taken to the cleaners. This world you so love to hate is inevitably the result of the same policies you have championed and relied on all your life. You are so furious you don't even know who to punish for it, so you lash out indescriminantly, and when reasonable people recoil in horror, or lash back in anger, it only provides you with evidence of your own infallibility and their degeneracy.^

Now THAT'S projection. Not one word applies to my thinking.

Nobody's ever made me any "promises" that I know of. I don't think in terms of waiting for other people's "promises." That's another philosophy altogether.

The world's problems are not the result of the ideas I support, but for the most part, stem from the ideas I am against.

I don't lash out "indiscriminately." My targets are selective, and I bring the ammunition to make my point.

"Recoiling in horror" or "lashing back in anger" are not arguments. They are the responses of people who have no real answers. You might have noticed my original challenge has drifted off the table and out the door.

I wish I knew who burned you so badly.
