Re: I guess I'm more trusting than I should be.

I have no way of knowing if it is a conspiracy, even if it is one. And there is no reason to believe this dummy isn't for real, the world is full of very stupid people, and no one party has a monopoly on them. I'm just pointing out the possibilities. I do know for a fact, if some one had called in and totally demolished Savage's position, logically and articulately, then Savage would not have published the recording. Some Liberal probably would have, instead.

Of course, if a position is expressed logically and articulately it still doesn't necessarily mean it is right, or vice-versa; especially in the political arena, where almost all positions on both sides contain some element of veracity, and some level of BS, and the truth always lies somewhere between the two extremes.

I'm not bending way out of my way to fair on this, after all, I subscribe to my own political superstitions and I would be extremely foolish to believe all my opinions are right on, all the time, for all time. But whenever I hear a piece that paints one side as saintly, and the other as demonic, I smell political flatulence. The real world isn't built like that.

And you certainly shouldn't trust me without reservations, either. Did it ever occur to you I'm trying to be so moderate and reasonable simply because I want to sell you a big lie and I'm trying to build up your confidence in me first? And maybe, just maybe, I'm doing precisely that without even consciously realizing I am doing it.
