Fingers crossed. Last I heard, the southern edge of the surface spill is tickling the loop current, and hurricane season's coming. Oh joy...
Then there are the undersea plumes. That's eerie. And the cause of the explosion remains eerily unclear. The term "methane clathrates" keeps bubbling to the surface from the back of my mind, and I shudder. I sure hope not.
Good thing nobody's tried explosives to cap the spill.
