Movie theaters signed their own death warrants...

...when the began raising their prices so much. The cost for a family to go to the movies nowadays is astronomical. By the time you buy tickets, popcorn and cokes, you've easily spent $50 or more and that's just here in Lee's Summit. It could be even more now. I haven't set foot in a movie theater in two years. I buy my own popcorn and cokes from the grocery, get a Netflix DVD and hit pause for potty breaks. Can't beat it!
