Actually, I don't know myself, one way or the other. But I do know Big Food will do whatever it takes to sell more crap for less money, and they won't give a damn whether it is poison or not. They use these sweeteners because they are cheaper because that is all they ever really care about: cost and profit.

Remember "alleged" carcinogens in tobacco? How convincing their arguments on that were? You simply cannot trust anything these people say if they have any financial stake at all in a product, or if they can somehow explain it away as just another Liberal conspiracy. Business as usual.
