The rules have changed. In the old days, you'd see a movie where the bad guy took a reporter's camera and pulled the film out, or swiped the film canister while searching the reporter's shirt. It wasn't that long ago that news footage had to be SHIPPED to the news stations on reels of film.
Today, if you take a picture or movie, there's a damn good chance you can actually fire it off to someone almost instantly. When I was watching fireworks last weekend, my daughter was out of town, and I wondered if it were possible nowadays to "live stream" something over a cell phone. If it isn't yet, it soon will be.

No kidding. This is what people here have sneered at as "conspiracy" theories. It doesn't take a conspiracy to go along with a crowd.
