Staring at a Dish Network bill a few months ago, I asked myself WTF. Then I asked my wife WTF. She didn't have an answer either. Account cancelled. Let their pricey signal wash over us ignored.
Pretty much all the networks offer their shows online for free. Throw in a very reasonably priced Netfilx account, and there's not much that you can't stream on demand.
I'm currently immersed in Red Dwarf (joy), most of which I've seen but not for a long time. Watched a great German film called "North Face" that I never would have heard of except for Netflix recommendations. Next on the list: every episode of Rowan Atkinson's Black Adder (joy joy).
I read an article a few weeks ago by a writer (NYT, I think) who ditched cable for online tv, and went back claiming he missed channel surfing. Good lord, what a smeg head.
