"Educated" is normally defined as "years spent in college." As time goes by, this is becoming less and less a measure of how intelligent a person is, and I could make a good case that four or more years in some educational institutions and fields actually does more intellectual damage than anything else.
By the way, it's not "I've got mine, screw you" it's "I've earned mine, what gives you the right to take it away from me?"
