The top quintile (20 percent) of households pays 86 percent of Federal income taxes and 87 percent of corporate taxes. The average income floor for that quintile in 2007 was about $265,000 a year.
If you factor in payroll taxes and everything else, the top 20 percent pays 69 percent of ALL Federal taxes. It is the only quintile where the share of Federal taxes is higher than the share of income.
