Internet access in the wild Midwest
Picked up a wifi router for my parents' house. Plugged it into their broadband cable connection, and my son's MacBook was on the air! Success!
Unfortunately, the primitive wifi card inside my old Thinkpad A31p can't handle WPA2, and the router thinks WEP sucks, so I'm stuck with an ethernet cable. Ordered a Cardbus wifi gadget on Amazon that should arrive tomorrow. We'll see if that works.
