I had a boss like that; I would have loved to tell HIM what I truly thought of him. So when we did my annual review and he was critical, saying I paid too much attention to detail, I did my own review back and among other things, reminded the asshole that that attention to detail was what saved our small clinic from having to pay a $20,000 debt. That attention to detail was such that the other party ended up owing US a few hundred. Which we forgave since it was the Department of Medicine and we were dealing with the Chair. My attention to detail cleaned up the mess that he had allowed to accumulate before I came on board.
