Watching the tax sausage being made
Been tracking this for a while now. The basic problem is that the taxes will go up automatically at the end of the year, the Democrats still have the numbers this month, and they're demented.
They are utterly convinced that jobs will be generated by welfare payments, and that economic prosperity will be generated by punishing anybody that has money. They can't be budged from these ideas, so they're going to have to be defeated.
At least now they admit that Bush did make middle-class tax cuts.
