I must have heard it a dozen times in the last few days: "The Tea Party-backed candidate can't win in November...a victory for the Tea Party now will be a victory for the Democrats later..."
But I think you're quite right Jody...writing-off the Tea Party at this point is foolishness. The demographics of the Party's membership appears to be sufficiently diverse that it could appeal to conservatives of all stripe, and independants as well. And yeah, even to Democrats. November could be really, really interesting.
