If it weren't for Social Security and Medicare, I would be contemplating becoming homeless, you self-righteous piece of work. I'm fortunate I could find a way to afford Cobra for 18 months before Medicare kicks in. I just had a $34,000 hospital bill for which I will pay a part out of pocket which is eating into my retirement but at least I can do it--at this point. Oh don't give me that shit about this and that and the other being available because they're not for most people. I have found in a lot of instances, you don't know what the hell you're talking about. I just quit arguing because you piss me off too much and it raises my heart rate which is what is happening right now.
