I am not surprised and it is telling that the ALA won't refute the claims of tampering with the facts.
You are right that life expectancy depends on many factors other than just air quality and the US has been dropping in rank among other countries with regards to life expectancy, yet our air quality is much better.
It is becoming harder to trust these agencies.
