Wishful thinking
in all of us, but when it comes down to it, how many of us would resort back to our ideals of the how the country should be run and in what direction thus smarting efforts of pragmatic discussion and resolve. At this point and time we cannot agree on this basic principle and without that consensus it is next to impossible to agree on a common issue without influence of politics and power.
The exception I would imagine (once we got past the frenzied blame games) is a outside common threat to our human existence without regards to race or religion as a whole.
