Aaand once again the unstoppable force meets the unbreakable wall

Seriously though TB, you seem to have a habit of finding ways to pin everything you deem wrong on liberals and democrats. And you and Eri both seem to think that the opposing parties (Demmies and GOP respectively) have some sort of major conspiracy against half the US in ways that are detrimental to us all. The truth I see is, there are good republicans and badf republicans, liberal democrats and conservative democrats; and all of those terms are interchangeable with each other.

The purpose of the party system is that a majority of people with roughly the same ideals group their manpower and money together so they can have a better chance of controlling this country and shaping it in their own ideals. The democracy we have allows for us to vote for the groups that (mostly) represent what we want to happen in our country. However, A) there are so many people and parties in this country that it takes us a LONG time before we can, as a majority, agree on anything, and B) most of the political power and energy has been focused into the BIG Two who constantly feud for reasons I can ONLY assume are related to their initial schism. And it's been hell for the american public ever since.

So if you don't like the system, you can A) don't vote, which is a reasonably wise soulution unless you truly care about the outcome of the country, because the people who DO care will vote like crazy for ideals and laws you will probably not agree with; or B) Vote like a bunny in heat, which, while making affecting the ouctome of elections a tad, will make your life a living hell worrying about the opposition and scrambling for money to continue your campaign, which will most likely involve selling your soul to various organizations you don't like, but will eventually learn to love against your will (In other words, rape).

Or you could just do C) jumping the border as soon as you turn legal for some place that isn't as f**ked up. Like Somalia.

Ahhh, but we deviate from the original topic of this conversation. Some people are elitist, and some people aren't. However, with TB's definition, I think it's safe to say we're looking at a portrait of "We Three"
