Did you have any comment on the point itself? My little editorial sentence after the link was humorous. In fact, we have a situation where a man who speaks from heavily-prepared comments has, on more than one occasion, "edited" one of the most significant passages in our history.
Was it at his instruction? Did his speechwriters do it? It's hard to make the assumption that he doesn't know how it's supposed to go. In either case, why? I think this is a significant pointer into the president's thinking.
Are we just going to evade this again by drifting off into unrelated issues?
