Often these problems that need fixing are ones caused by politicians in power; NOT your random citizen. We don't put people into office in the hhope that they'll have some magical cure for everything - we do it so they can slow down the landslde a little. Who knows, someday we'll stop it completely. Also, that arguement you're "against" in your statement seems to be one a lot of people love to use - doesn't matter where they stand on issues.
I do agree with you slightly on this, we can't just rely on the government for everything. However, it's these important issues that are the reason we have government in the first place - to collectivly group, organize, and solve problems in a systematical matter that is quicker than a bunch of people randomly working seperatly to solve it. With our resources grouped together, we stand a better chance.
And don't you DARE compare this to a "Together We Prevail!" propaganda rant. This is fact, not opinion.
