I watched the last decade or so of the Cold War. I watched as the people currently running things in the Democratic Party cheered every smelly Marxist movement that raised its head in Africa, South America, Asia, Central America, and everywhere else. Almost all of them allied in some way with the Soviet Union.

If you were a government or nation, the only thing you had to do be worshipped by the liberals back then was be a Marxist. The one thing you could do as a nation or leader to be on their permanent shitlist was be anti-communist, or a firm ally of the United States. During the last half of the past century, in every conflict the United States and its allies has had, military or otherwise, the Left sided with the adversary. I have found no exceptions to this.

Without the United States and its active anti-communist efforts for decades, half the planet would be Soviet satellites of one form or another.

I recommend some research on what Chavez is trying to do in the nations around him.
