I detest all the damned red tape. That is so totally unnecessary.

The medical privacy act (HIPAA) was not a bad thing but all the paperwork required is. It's a bunch of crap. I do not understand why the government passes a good rule and then doesn't leave well enough alone. If hospitals or whomever doesn't follow the rules, someone will sue them and then they will. Much better enforcement is the fear of being taken to the cleaners for non-compliance. Instead, we have all the GD paperwork! I have to sign the GD thing every time I visit a doctor and I think of all the wasted paper, the storage and the personnel hours. Jeez.

Then there are all the rules for small businesses. I agree with you on this issue. The government needs to guide, not make it so damned difficult.
