"Having been a missile jockey and systems instructor in the Army for years, I had seen many a missile launch. And, THAT, my friends is definitely a guided missile; at least of the Nike - Herc class, possible a bit larger. However, I can't ...tell by the signature if it was one of ours.

As for comments I've read stating that China hasn't got this level of technology... This technology is not "rocket science", pretty much everyone has this guided capability. It's their delivery systems that are unpredictable at this point in time. HOWEVER. Accuracy/precision is not an issue when deploying an EMP (or nuclear) device. Have you ever heard anyone say, "that's close enough for horseshoes and hand grenades..."?

The scary part of this is (if it was not one of our missiles) that this could be considered an act of aggression/war! What happened to the cruise ship is pretty much the kind of results you'd get from an EMP burst. Do you really think that an engine room fire would knock out all the ship's redundant back up systems too?
