Based on the 2006 Pulitzer Prize winning book by Cormac McCarthy.

It is currently playing on Showtime.

It is too stark and grim to be entertaining in the way that I like but it is grimly thought provoking. It is legitimately an important bit of fiction on humanity's will to survive.

The premise is, a father and 7-8 year old son attempt to make their way to the east coast in a post apocalyptic near future.

Neither the book or the flick discloses what ruined the world. The hard core environmentalist have jumped on it as prophetic but anyone should easily figure out that only a NEO impact fits the world he has created.

Here is the Wiki

I will probably read the book. If anyone here has seen the film or read the book, chime in with a review.
