This is going to hurt. Missouri will most likely lose the seat currently held by Russ Carnahan, son of the former Missouri Governor & Senatorial candidate who died in a plane accident which resulted in his wife's appointment to the seat. She was a dead loss as a Senator. His election was close the last time around. He probably won't win if he runs for a reapportioned seat.
If the Republican legislature reapportions in a way our Democratic Governor vetoes, it could end up being reapportioned by our Courts. Frankly, that's the way I wish they were all done anyway. Otherwise, it's always going to be subject to political shenanigans. Apportionment should be according to population--Period.
No, my break's not over but I did want to comment on reapportionment since what happens there is not going to be affected by how anyone feels about it. What happens happens.
