Pure arrogance and not particularly enlightened. How much traveling have you done outside the US and how much attention did you actually pay to other cultures? Sheesh.
The US is no longer the powerhouse it once was and other nations do not seek the crumbs from our table any more. Mostly because the table's gotten pretty crummy.
