Perception, The Doors of

I beleive there's a reality, a "state of being," that transcends our perceptions...and if we could properly perceive it, we'd find only one such state. But the very act of perception is rife with filtration and processing, of turning sensory stimulus into information that our Jello™-like brain can grasp. Frankly, I think it's a miracle of biochemistry that we can make heads or tails of anything.

And given what we're learning about the universe, both large and small, it's clear that our natural senses are sharply limited, offering us only a dim, narrow glimpse of what we term "reality." For goodness sake, at this point we don't even know what space and time are, yet they'd seem to be fundamental aspects of reality.

So I don't know if I agree with you that "reality is subjective," unless we disagree on definitions. Our perception of reality, otoh, is all too subjective.

I expect it'll be via our machines and our intellect (math) that we eventually come to terms with reality.

OTOH, what the hell do I know? I could be making less sense than a clucking chicken here...
