Anything that just reverses the growth of spending would be a radical change, and everyone knows it. The four years of Pelosi's Congress resulted in unprecedented spending and deficits.
What's fascinating on the health care issue is that the Democrats still live in their own little universe, where Obamacare is a wildly popular program that will create fury among American voters if someone attacks it.
The only people who actually WANTED this damn law were your buddies in Washington. Polls have been consistently against it even before the vote, and the Democrats had to pull every legislative trick and string they could to get it passed. They had to cook the numbers and offload costs to get the CBO numbers anywhere close to workable. Polls showed currently insured Americans were happy with their coverage and service. None of it mattered to the Democrats. You see, this was never about health care for them.
And Democratic candidates went down like mown wheat in the election for backing Obamacare.
Just one poll here. Note the trend back through the year. Not ONE number supporting repeal under 50 percent.
Get a clue.
