I was driving home late Saturday night and heard the news about the shooting. I get here and see that the tradegy had quickly turned into political posturing. I got angry at what I considered a lack of decency.

I'm not going to apologize for my quips but do wish they were better worded.

"Ectoterrestrial" was a leading contributor here from the start of the Zone. He hasn't been around for years. I miss his posts and commentary on the Space Board as well as his politcal views, although a little different from mine. I also miss his sense of humor.

But I can see where his comments would be taken for those of a "troll" by people that don't 'know' him. Passionate outburts from ET were not entirely uncommon back in the day but Zoners then had a context in which to view them.

I guess he brought it on himself but it was rather hard to see an old internet friend and one of the first Zone members being labled a "troll".
