I ruled out culpability of the right wing because there's no evidence for it. None. I did not need a second thought to see that, or even a third. As I said to someone else, do you know what "none" means?
No actual connection to Palin, talk radio, Republicans or ANYONE on that list Olbermann ran down.
Believe me, if someone had found one, it would be on every front page of the mainstream media. Instead, they're still relying on unsupported speculations.
One blogger calls this the "Underpants Gnome" theory on the Arizona shootings:
^Phase 1: Sarah Palin publishes a map.
Phase 2: ?
Phase 3: Gunfire.^
You're clinging to the frayed end of the rope with the term "interesting commonalities." Good Lord, the man has "interesting commonalities" with almost every nutcase out there, on both the Left and the Right, and some normal people too.
If you want the most interesting "commonality," it's a complete inability of his mind to make connections to form concepts from unrelated pieces of information and use that to discard and accept ideas. Way too common in this country today.
I'm disappointed but not surprised that the first response to this outrage from the Democrats was "how do we use this to destroy our political enemies?" It's no coincidence that Palin's map made news, while Democratic target maps with Giffords' name on them did not. The Democrats have been doing this for a long time. The oil spill and Katrina come immediately to mind.
