I don't know...
In a lot of cases, it's kind of expected. It can hardly fail to bump a president in the polls a bit, but I'd like to think that wasn't a primary motivator for either Bush or Obama.
I saw some clips and reviews from the speech, which I only saw in text before that. The applause and free t-shirts weren't all that appropriate for a memorial service, but there it is.
