The story I linked to was a local news channel. To the best of my knowledge (and that's admittedly limited, because I accessing mainstream news online not on television) only CNN has recognized that this ever happened.

The "beheading" story was another Democratic attempt at a "macaca" attack on a Republican candidate up for election. They pick something largely irrelevant and try to turn it into the biggest story of the year. Since the mainstream media basically works for the Democratic Party, this is usually pretty easy.

Didn't work this time. Brewer still won by over 12 points, and that was after the Left threw everything they had at her, including the immigration attacks.

As I've said elsewhere, the Democrats do NOT want elections to be about fundamental ideologies and ideas. In that framework, they are screwed. They know what their fundamental ideology is.
