I didn't think he needed to apologize
I don't consider myself particularly Christian, and I wasn't offended by his remarks. I know that's how Christians feel. IMO the spirit of kinship and trust instilled amongst Christians is a big part of why the western world became so powerful.
And I think the anti-defamation league is just picking the lowest-hanging fruit it can find. Why don't they take on Islamic intolerance if they're spoiling for a fight? (Ya know, I'm sure they do, God bless 'em they should call themselves the Anti-Defamation League of Super Friends, but long story short, I don't care. If they're "shocked" by Bentley's remarks, they seriously need to get laid.)
So he's a political novice, has never held office before and is a man of modest means? I like him already.
