I don't think I'll get into a debate about Ronnie, the Alzheimer's President (which is a sad thing). He had some good points and did some good things. Some I didn't agree with. His Presidency was so successful because Nancy regularly consulted psychics and astrologers. (Where the hell is the little smiley lying on the floor, cracking up, feet beating the floor?)
I heard the story on the news today of how on the way to Germany, he was finalizing his speech that said, "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!" An adviser told him, "The State Department won't like that." Reagan's response was "Maybe not but I'm the President." THAT I like. That is what a leader does.
