Democrats in the Senate, who just stood foursquare behind the Obamacare that shredded the Democrats in the House, are beginning to panic.
^Webb appeared likely to face a rematch with former Senator George Allen, whom he beat in a bruising 2006 contest. He had expressed ambivalence about the prospect of another run, and has said he never planned a life in politics.^
Heh. Looks like the Democrats are going to have to pull up something better than a completely invented racial slur to pull this one out of the fire.
