As for the first link, I read it in the papers as it happened. Know people who where at the original protests, back in the day. (That's all I should say.) Used to drive by the damn place every day. Wait, twice a day. The clean up is to be commended, the job not yet done, just moved about, the shell game of dangerous nuclear waste. Much remains. The area is under much discussion as to how it is used. The final quadrant of Denver's toll road belt-way is adjacent to Rocky Flats. And with four lanes of highway, toll or not, comes development. The local governments: state, county, and city are fighting over this area and how it is to be zoned. Will there be a mall? A subdivision? Or shall it remain a windswept mesa with cows, a quarry, a landscape material yard, a sawmill, and a lone bar with a strange affinity for the Green Bay Packers?
Did you know that there is a wind turbine testing area adjacent to Rocky Flats? I can see those too. In the late afternoon, when the setting sun catches them just so ... quite pretty, really. A place dedicated to testing new wind technology next to a place that made triggers for thermonuclear bombs.
Concerning the second link: couldn't watch it. Apparently, our musical tastes differ, somewhat. I'll dig up a good Pink Floyd vid.
