Re: Call that roller skate a "bus?"

I have a Eurovan. Two seats in front, two behind, and three behind that, and still almost three feet of deck space for suitcases and such. Huge side door, lots of headroom, and lots of glass. I bought it new in 93, when my son was two, and raised both kids in it. Each of them had their own row of seats to spread out on. So compact is the engine space and wheelbase that it can do U-turns in less space than the Honda Pilot, and isn't much longer than a regular car. My son is still driving the old heap in his second year of college, and will until it falls apart (not long now I suspect).

Naturally, Volkswagen stopped selling them in the U.S. thanks to the 25 percent "chicken tax" (a whole different subject). The Volkswagen "Routan" is basically a Dodge Caravan, which isn't bad for room, but no Eurovan.

My new diesel Sprinter, used to haul me, my wife, her electric wheelchair, and family (when home) could probably hold that little thing in its cargo space. I won't go into the "electric" part.
