But also blame our schools. There are only so many competent people out there to go around and so a lot of managers have no choice but to hire 2nd raters. They can't pay for premium quality because of the shortage. Premium employees, like cream, rise to the top. When I was hiring, I couldn't believe 90% of the applicants who couldn't spell snot or string a coherent sentence together. Or type well. I managed to get some good ones because they were just out of school and in those days, entry-level jobs weren't easy to come by.
