Re: "We're all entitled to believe"

TB, we're all entitled to communicate what we think, but we are not obligated to persuade anyone else, or even to debate it. Everyone here already knows how you and I stand on every conceivable issue, and the underlying reasons why, and guuess what, not one of them gives a fig. Not one of them is going to change their mind one way or another regardless of what either of us says. And we certainly aren't.

I have stated earlier that I was going to attempt to refrain from debating political issues, and I freely confess I have failed to consistently hold to that promise. But I will continue to try to keep it, nonetheless. It simply doesn't make any difference to whatever happens in the real world, this is not a forum of movers and shakers, it is a refuge for the introspective. In fact, that's why I come here. When I'm at Kommunity Kollege, I keep my mouth shut and learn. Those people have real power to make things happen. Besides, everyone here is too astute to confuse stridency of rhetoric with civic virtue or critical thought. And even from the most cynical propagandist's point of view, sheer repetition tends to be annoying, and counter-productive. Ask anyone here.

I will continue saying what I want, and no doubt you'll continue objecting to it. I may or may not respond. If you feel that makes me a "Storm", fine. We've all taken turns debunking anomalism and yellow science here too, but if that's ALL we did here I would have left a long time ago. I have better things to do with my time than lecturing the unwashed.

I reserve the right to decide when, how, if, and to whom I respond, and for what reason. If you really feel that what I believe poses a personal threat to you, then I suggest you complain to those actually in a position to implement those policies. I just happen to live here; and besides, I don't believe a word of it.

"Freedom, individual liberty, choice" Yeah, right. And yes, I'm still beating my wife.
