Lao Tsu sez:
"Ten thousand things rise and fall while the self watches their return."
I consider a river, from the young clear water on steep heights to the old meandering sedement laden water that meets the sea. I see it in long time, the mountains it has eaten to the deep deltas sagging under the never ending load of sand, silt, and mud. While the water of this river is always new the river is old, creating the very canvas it is etched upon. Always changing, always the same.
