When we are borrowing a trillion a year to keep out of the hole, someone declaring that what we really need is more spending on boondoggles that will never be repaid is not playing with a full deck. From recent headlines in the past few days, "high speed rail" is one thing that comes to mind. There are a number of others.
Obama is a dyed-in-the-wool leftist. When someone wants to put out a house fire by pouring gasoline on it, "obstruction" is a virtue.
