Nice description of the effects of stimulus spending
Stimulus spending does not "create" jobs but instead provides business for existing companies and temp work for their employees.
I guess you could call it "jobs saved" but it would be more accurately called deferred unemployment.
By giving the impression that the government is "doing something", stimulus spending does have an initial and important psychological effect on the nation as a whole.
But there has come a point where the negative effects of growing the debt outweigh the benefits of shoring up our ailing economy.
If doing things like repealing or deferring industry hobbling EPA rules is "obstructionism", then I'm all for it.
