<The fact that people respond to a simple question with a plethora of abuse and lable others when they have never met them and do not know the other persons opinion (just make it up) says more about you than me.

These are the facts - next time you can label me or others get your OWN facts correct:

1) I do not believe in UFO's or little green men - but most of you people do (but I have an open mind and do not dismiss other that have that opinion - I at least listen. BUT your mins are closed to other ideas - you poor people)
2) I do NOT believe aliens lived on Mars or anywhere els for that matter - but I am willing to look at the evidence with an open mind
3) I do NOT believe that plants or animals live or have lived on Mars - but I am willing to look at the possibility because a lot of other people do believe it and it would make more sense, anyway someone has to at least look at it with an open mind (Don't believe me check with Greg or Nick I am sure they know my opinion on this)
4) I do not believe that water carved anything on Mars on its own - but I am dubious that the physics have been adequately taken everything into consideration
5) I do not believe mars was wetter in the past than it is today - as soon as one goes down this path they start ignoring data that does not fit their beliefs
6) I have an image of a meandering river with fluid flowing (and it is not all CO2) and a second of a canyon currently forming - if you have not seen the images it says more about your ability than mine.
7) I do not believe in castigating people if I disagree with them - I prefer to educate them. The fact that you prefer castigation reflects on your level of intelligence NOT MINE. By attacking me you lost the argument and have shown your inability to argue the point succinctly
8) I at least have the guts to provide my email address. Do you?

I will try to address some of your comments. I hope you did not interpret my post as an attack or my comments to assume you believe in a wet mars or little green men. I cited those extreme examples to demonstrate what I interpret to be a vast divide regarding the people who study or are interested in mars, since you mentioned psychological resistance.

As for me, yes I do believe that ETI exists out there. However UFO's are just unidentified objects and we have plenty of proof those exist - without necessarily assuming they are ETI related.

My position on Mars is that it was much wetter in the past. In fact I will go the full mile and say that at one time mars had oceans and continents.

I believe that a catastrophic impact or occurrence happened on mars which threw its oceans into space, tore away its atmosphere and leaving us with a big mystery.

DO I believe there are animals on mars? Not now. Perhaps in the pre-catastrophe era. Do I believe there are little green men on mars? No. Could there have been in the pre-catastrophe era? Perhaps. We have no archaeologists digging for remains at this time. I wouldn't want to have to guess.

You say you do not believe all the geological sculpting is due to CO2 phenomenon and that you have an image showing a fluid forming a meandering river and a canyon forming. Do you have an image number perhaps? Or perhaps you could send me an e-mail copy?
