Slavery was the greek tragic flaw of our nation.
While slavery seemed like a good thing at the time, any benefit received from the free labor has been greatly overshadowed by the folly of bringing primitives with no concept of civilization within our gates. Whether in Pharaoh's time or our own, slavery is a moronic concept destined for failure. This country would be 10 times better off today, had it never been instituted here.
