This gets back to the whole issue of good vs. bad immigration
Sure, everybody who comes to America has to be "checked out" but it makes absolutely no sense for the INS to make valuable immigrants jump through all the same hoops and face the same bureaucratic harrassment as undesirable, uneducated, low-skill immigrants. Which ones are really going to be helping the country 5, 10 years from now?
This guy reports to me and is highly productive. I don't want some INS low-life making him fill out useless forms or wait in line for 4 hours for no good reason, or otherwise messing around with his life.
