The blatant bigotry of the leftists and the leftist media against conservatives and their values is probably the only "accepted" form of bigotry left in this country.

A recent article in our local newspaper on a local Civil War re-enactment (A Memorial Day tradition), contained some interesting comments. The re-enactors were referred to at the beginning of the article as "mostly white men who love guns." Uh oh.

The article (which I could not locate a link to) wound up with this gem: "despite the types of bumper stickers in the parking lot -- National Rifle Association, U.S. Marine Corps and Promise Keepers -- stereotypes of re-enactors' values can't be drawn. Those on both the Union and Confederate sides say that no modern-day racism is allowed."

The writer seems astonished that NRA members, Marines, and Promise Keepers are not winding up the re-enactment by immediately running out and hanging some black folks from the nearest tree.

And conservatives get this kind of shit pretty much day in and day out.

One hopes the writer has run across a couple of Marines since then...
