It does.

Tom, I believe you. The "stuff" is extremely important to you. And that's fine.

And, you've illustrated what would drive me nuts about your way of thinking. It seems to be "either - or", either rich or poor, either good or bad. "All liberals think - - -" sort of thing. There is no such thing as moderation, no middle ground. Works for you, and that's just dandy with me. Thinking that way drove me nuts.

My reality is that there is such a thing as a comfortable life, and past that people are all that matter. Well, maybe a few animals, who are little furry people in my mind.

A car is a means of conveyance, a house is a place to live, clothes are to cover the body, food is to keep the body alive, and the body is a way to drag a soul around.

Past a point more isn't better, more gets in the way. For example, jewelry is something to worry about losing. Anyone who would be impressed by it, including myself, is kinda pathetic.

The only purpose of money is to finance being useful to our fellow man, to other people.

For some of us, it's not rich or poor, it's not get as much as you can. There is such a thing as a sufficiency.

And for some, there isn't. In their minds, they are rich or poor. All I'm asking is that maybe you could see that some of us don't see it that way.
