Some folks think that learning to blow holes in buildings isn't that exotic, although others would use a recoilless rifle or liberated RPG.

Now, guess what. The US has, at least in the past, trained military personnel in destruction beyond anything you saw there.

However, the fuss over these guys killing their wives is instructive. Three of the 4 were in Afghanistan, for EIGHT TO TEN WEEK ROTATIONS! And one didn't go. And Afghanistan isn't exactly hot except for civilians.

Eight to ten weeks in-country. And they're stressed out. Not much in the way of soldier there.

I've gotta assume these folks just happened to come together. It used to be a person could feel a bit sorry for the Secretary of DOD. If it had a million to one chance of happening, it happened about 4 times a year in his command.

But 8 to 10 week rotations into a cold situation! Everyone must be getting their tickets punched, but that's an awfully small hole, with a hanging chad which almost covers it.

Forget those training camps. Our side has more serious stuff happening, and animals die.
