Hey, everybody!
I just got this from my System's youth serivces coordinator:
Simon & Schuster teaming up with General Mills to promote literacy through Spoonfuls of Stories. Starting in November and through holiday season, specially marked boxes
(5 million plus) will include miniature paperback editions of one of five S & S picture books: Rosie's Walk; Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day; Sylvester and the Magic Pebble, Salt in his Shoes, and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.
I can think of at least five reasons to start eating Cheerios, and/or asking everyone you know to do the same.
Soooo... if you want to put something cool in the stockings of 7- to 10-year-olds of your acquaintance (younger for reading aloud); if you want to drop something extra in the "Toys for Tots" box; if you want to give a gift to your local shelter; if you want to keep them yourself...
They are all very good books!
Regards--
Mary Anne
